Our Doctrine

We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:4), in His ascension into Heaven (Mark 16:19; Luke 24:50-51; Acts 1:9-11), and in His exaltation at the right hand of God, where He intercedes for us as our High Priest and Advocate (Rom 8:34; Heb 4:14; 6:20; 7:25);

We believe the substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ and his bodily resurrection as the only way of salvation through faith (Ex 20:3; John 14:6; Acts 4:12);

We believe in the promise of the personal, visible, and pre-millennial return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (that Jesus Christ will return and then reign on earth for 1,000 years) (Rev 20), that recognises the specific promises God made to Israel concerning restoration to their land, with the Temple rebuilt, will be literally fulfilled to the Israelites and not fulfilled spiritually in the Church;

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, not by works (Eph 2:8-9), and that all who repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God;

We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the Ordinance of water Baptism for believers and the Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, which Ordinance shall be observed by His Church till His comes;

We believe in the eternal security, bodily resurrection, and eternal blessedness of the saved and the bodily resurrection and eternal conscious punishment of the lost;

We believe in the real, spiritual unity of Christ of all redeemed by His precious blood, the necessity of faithfully maintaining the purity of the Church in doctrine and life according to the Word of God and the Principle and Practice of Biblical Separation from all unbelief and apostasy of the day including Romanism, Charismatism, Pentecostalism, Modernism, New Evangelicalism, New Age Mysticism, etc. being spearheaded by the Ecumenical Movement (2 Cor 6:14-7:1; Rev 18:4).

In upholding the truth of God’s Word, we promote sound biblical doctrine and protect both God’s name and “FAITH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH – PERTH”, from detractors and enemies from without and within.
